These are some of the ways I have learned to tell stories and connect with people.

Writing

Through personal, academic, newspaper, blog, and professional writing, I have developed a passion and a talent for communicating information and stories with the written word.

Editing

With an extensive background as an editor for an Associated Collegiate Press accredited and Pacemaker Award-winning newspaper, I am an experienced editor proficient with AP, MLA, and APA style.

Photography

Photographing for both leisure and work, I use my camera to capture people, places, emotion, and stories.

Social Media

Having managed professional Instagram and Facebook accounts, as well as completed collegiate-level social media marketing courses, I can effectively use the platforms to promote brands and share information.

Customer Service

Through hands-on experience applying customer service techniques at multiple companies, as well as completing academic courses on the subject, I have a strong understanding of and passion for helping people and solving complex situations.

Marketing and Communications

With storytelling as my passion, a desire to connect with people, and a professional and academic background to match, marketing and communications are some of my greatest strengths.

Leadership and Collaboration

As a graduate from the University Honors and Leadership program, and having experienced many leadership roles, I have demonstrated that I am a strong leader and do well working in teams as well as independently.

Microsoft Office

I am proficient in many Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Adobe Suite

I have experience using Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, and Illustrator in both academic and professional settings.

G Suite

I use Google Docs applications frequently for personal and professional projects and am proficient with Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more.

Education

I graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with university honors magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in marketing, and a minor in multidisciplinary research methods.

Awards & Accomplishments

I received the El Pomar scholarship and the University Honors and Leadership scholarship, based on my involvement in CU Denver's leadership program, demonstration of academic excellence, and engagement in community service.

I was chosen as the 2019 Colorado Leadership Alliance (CLA) Campus Leader of the Year and nominated for the 2019 CLA Student Leader of the Year.

I was awarded the Lynx Lifetime Award by the University of Colorado Denver's Office of Student Life, based on my involvement in and contribution to CU Denver throughout my four years.

I graduated from the CU Denver University Honors and Leadership program and am a member of the exclusive business honor society Beta Gamma Sigma.

Volunteer Activities

With my passion for helping others, I have volunteered at many places to help animals, people, and the environment. Some of the organizations I have volunteered with include Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies, Big Dogs Huge Paws, Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, West Arvada Dog Park, Denver Public Library, Coalition for the Upper South Platte, UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital, and more!

Hobbies

In my free time you can find me hiking, crocheting and crafting, hanging out with my pets, seeing a musical, learning a new board game, watching Disney movies, or exploring something new.
